HEY HII! My name is Helen–I was born and raised in New York, where I am currently based today! I have previously lived in Paris, Norway, and spent a few years backpacking in my early 20’s.
My prior background is in psychology, which translates into my work, through my curiosity about people and optimism for bringing out the best in everyone I meet. My work aims to communicate the intersection between photo and psychology. I love working in environmental portraiture and its balance information with people. The things that interest me in photography are: identity, culture, social issues, small businesses/craftspeople, and evoking empathy through visual languages.
I’m always interested in meeting people, exploring new places, food and beverages–and taking photos along the way.
